Log Bait coach
Log Bait is a spell-counting game. Make them spend the answer, then play the card it was meant for.
Updated
Log Bait decks carry several cards that the same cheap spell answers, usually around Goblin Barrel with Princess, Goblin Gang or similar. The opponent can't answer them all, so once their spell is spent, the next bait card lands.
Playing against it is the mirror: save your small spell for the card that hurts most, and answer the rest with troops.
What usually goes wrong
- Barrel into a ready LogIf their small spell is in hand, the Barrel is just giving them a positive trade.
- Bait cards with no follow-upBaiting the spell only matters if you play the card it was saving for.
- Forgetting defenceBait decks still need to stop a tank. Don't spend everything on offence.
Playing against Log Bait
- Save your small spell for Goblin Barrel or whatever their main bait card is.
- Answer the other bait cards with troops or your tower where you can.
- Count their bait cards so you know when the main one is due back.
What Mercina looks for in your match
- Spells you cast on a bait card while the real threat was still in their hand.
- Barrels or bait cards sent straight into a ready answer.
A plan for your next match
- 01Name their one key spell, and play around it.
- 02Only send your main bait card after their spell is spent.
- 03On defence, save your spell for the card that would hurt most.
Mercina writes a plan like this from your own match, every time.
Questions
How do I stop wasting my Log against Log Bait?
Hold it for Goblin Barrel or their main threat, and answer the other cards with troops. Mercina flags spells cast on low-value targets so you can see the pattern.
